Recall the Story of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs
The story centers on a very fair and beautiful lady with blue eyes, which was named Snow White. Her mom died when she was still young and her dad found new queen. The queen was also beautiful but her behavior is wicked. She had a magic mirror which she always asked about who was the fairest in the kingdom. It would always response with her name. But one day, the magic mirror told the wicked step mom that Snow White was the fairest. It made the queen so mad that she asked a huntsman to kill Snow White and take her heart. The huntsman caught Snow White in the forest but he took pity on her so he did not kill her. Instead of taking her heart, the huntsman took the heart of a deer and presented it to the Queen.
However, just when the queen thought that Snow White has died, the mirror once again stated that the fairest was still Snow White. Because the queen was actually a witch, she made a potion which she put in an apple, pretended to be an old peasant and went to where Snow White was. At that time, Snow White was staying in the house of the 7 dwarfs. One day, the dwarfs arrived home surprised with the presence of Snow White. Because the fair lady showed kindness to the dwarfs, the little creatures let her stay with them.
Sadly, the disguised queen was able to persuade Snow White to bite the apple. It made her fall in deep sleep. The dwarfs were saddened by this tragic event but all they were left to do was create a glass coffin for their friend. Stunned by her beauty, the Prince Charming who was just passing by could not help but kiss Snow White. This brought the lady back to her senses. They fell in love and they lived happily ever after.
Lessons Kids Can Learn From the Story ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’
You should not compare yourself to anyone. The queen was devastated when she learned that Snow White was the fairest. Every person has her own unique characteristic. Everybody is beautiful in her own way.
Never trust a stranger. Snow White immediately gave her trust to the old peasant woman who was actually her wicked step mother. She should have listened to the advice of the dwarfs who were older and more experienced than she was.
The good will always prevail. Snow White may have failed to follow the advice of the dwarfs about not talking to strangers but she was actually a very kind-heated person. Because of her good soul, Snow White found eternal happiness despite the efforts of the Queen to put an end to her life.
Tips to Make Your Bedtime Story Bonding With Your Child More Meaningful
1. Save at least around 10 minutes of your time for your bedtime story. If you are not used to it, you may begin with at least once a week storytelling and increase the frequency in the succeeding weeks. This way, it will be easier for the both of you to become accustomed to it until it becomes a ritual.
2. Do not be distracted. It only takes a few minutes to finish a bedtime story. Make sure you devote yourself into it by getting rid of anything that can make you distracted. Keep your mobile phone away or put it on silent mode. Your child should not have any toy with her once you start telling your story.
3. Let your child become a part of the storytelling. If you are reading a book, let her read a part of the story. If you are telling the story bereft of any reading material, you can simply ask her what she thinks will happen next.
4. Make it a relaxing experience. Don & #39;t make speaking too loud when you tell a bedtime story. One of the purpose you are doing this is to quietly send your child to sleep.
